🍑PUT IN WORK TO GROW before you try to lose. Unless you are 100% new to working out where you can easily build + burn simultaneously, you need to invest a solid chunk of your journey to grow/build, so you are left with some tissue when you begin to shed the winter fluff. —
🍑EAT LIKE YA MEAN IT. To optimize your training, most of your carbs should be consumed pre (before) and intra (during) your workout. Give your body what it wants. You’ll have more energy, better training performance, and more insulin on board to shuttle nutrients and increase recovery. —
🍑TRAIN WITH INTENT. The body responds to stimulus. Even if you are dieting/cutting, train HARD. Utilize progressive overload, whether it’s one more hip thrusts, or 5 more lbs on your RDL. 🍑TRAIN HARD, RECOVER HARDER. Your body’s goal is NOT to preserve muscle or amino acids. Your body’s goal is to be able to survive and thrive and get through your training session. That is why we need to fuel optimally. If we centre our carbs around workouts, our bodies produce insulin. This insulin combats cortisol from the stress of training. This way, we recover better, repair tissue better, digest better, sleep better. Wouldn’t you rather be better?? Trust me, your butt will thank you.
