Well today was a roller coaster of emotions. Started out with just driving around and looking for stuff. It was also raining and foggy so yeah. Well there were some pretty cool waves on the coast that we were checking out and then on the drive back the whole town may or may not have been flooded, resulting in us trying to drive through a massive puddle about two feet deep and as wide as Lake Erie in the middle of the road and getting stuck. My mom made me get out and push the car. But while our car was functioning as more of a super soaker than a vehicle we got word that there was a long eared in one of our favorite spots. One of our friends was kind enough to give us a little ride, and sure enough I was able to get this guy about 20 feet away at eye level. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get awesome light on it due to the fact that the weather was actually terrible and foggy as hell, but still got pretty amazing shots of a pretty amazing bird. If you remember from two posts ago this is the same species of owl, and arguably the second hardest to find in my area so two within four weeks of each other is pretty snazzy.
