Three years ago, I was living in Vietnam, with 75 other ‘crazy’ digital nomads, floating in one of the many gorgeous places I would call my temporary homes around the world. .
Sometimes we’re so busy and caught up in what’s coming next, we forget where we’ve been. .
But I wouldn’t be where I am without the past, and these people in particular. Including all of my past selves. .
Practicing gratitude for all the people who have held me up, including the many women and girls I’ve been: the mess, the pushover, the “too” kind, the brave, the confused, and the ‘let’s wing it and figure it out’ ...who shaved her head and who still makes mistakes. They are all still in me, in various ways. I can draw on their wisdom and strength and power. .
Thank you to the young woman who bought the flight, even though she was scared of losing so much: because of you, I am grateful for how comfortable I am in the world, and the global community I have. It has helped me dig deeper in seattle, stay close to the people on the east coast, and remember that wherever we may go, we can stand on our own feet. .
🇻🇳 As @glennondoyle says, “we can do hard things”. And then, sometimes, they sometimes become our favorite things. (Case in point: last minute flights abroad, anyone? 😂)
